The Seed of a Vision
When Andrew Selley and his wife Emma planted Joshua Generation Church in 1999, they carried a clear sense that God's intent was for them, alongside the saints, to build church according to the pattern of Scripture. They dreamed that returning to the New Testament model would not only shape their local context but also influence and impact churches far beyond Cape Town and South Africa, changing how the world sees and does church.
Along the way, numerous prophetic words from recognised prophets confirmed that this longing was from God. It was prophesied that Andrew, with his apostolic gifting and spiritual dynamism, would draw people together to co-labour in extending the Kingdom of God and building healthy churches.
Andrew served within the apostolic leadership of NCMI, a first-generation apostolic movement, from 1999 to 2006. Under the leadership of Dudley Daniels, Andrew learned how to live out faith authentically and how to build church according to the New Testament model. This movement played an important role in what was to come.
